2007 was a great year…here are just some of the highlights:
Home Improvements: We painted the living room and hall, got
new carpet for the stairs and hall, installed laminate flooring in the middle
bedroom, tore out the old azalea bushes, started my first garden and now we’re
in the middle of renovating our bedroom!
Got my 50th National Park Stamp at Edison National Historic Site!
Lost 15 pounds. I may have gained 5 of them back, but now
that I know how to lose the weight, thanks to the Daily Plate and my support
group, The Biggest Cruises – David, Lezlie and Brian – the thought of dropping pounds
doesn’t seem insurmountable anymore!
No more credit card debt!
We’re officially out of credit card debt and it’s no longer a
crutch. We have a little savings built
up that makes me rest a little easier when we hit a tight spot. Only two more car payments left on Tom’s car,
one more $50 payment to Dell for our computer (both loans were interest-free)
and my low-interest car loan will be paid off by May!
Great trips – We went to Florida for a week in March. The warm weather was such a nice reprieve and
we missed a major snow storm. Over Labor
Day, we went to the best island in the Caribbean – Bermuda. Sometimes I close my eyes and mentally
transport myself to sitting on the beach under the tiki umbrella with a tropical
drink! Also, my business/pleasure trip
to Minneapolis
was great – got another stamp and was able to spend lots of time with my good friend
David!
2007 was the year of concerts! Here’s a list of the country artists I saw
this year: Clint Black, Gary Allen, Dierks Bentley, Sara Evans, Sugarland,
Brooks and Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith, Keith Urban and
Martina McBride. I may have missed
one! The best part…I won the Toby and
Martina tickets, my cousin gave me the Keith Urban tickets and my country
station, XTU, had a free anniversary concert!
Just had to pay for Kenny Chesney and it was a great value considering
all the big name artists that toured with him!
What’s in store for 2008?
Tom’s graduation will certainly be a milestone event, I’m sure we’ll
have another nice trip, lower bills and hopefully, a lower weight! Just going to keep doing what I’m doing – continue
working on my goals, try to improve myself more and help others when I
can. I have high hopes that it will be
another great year!

This is so wild - if this is real, there really are very crazy people out there! I got a few scratch off tickets as gifts this year - no winners and after hearing this, I think that's a good thing!!!

Christmas was a blast - here's just one of the
highlights! I'm loving our new digital camera - especially the video
feature. We'll have fun with it - more to come!
To protect my little cousins' privacy, I don't want to broadcast this video to the world. If you would like to see the video, please e-mail me and I'll add you to my friends list in you tube. You may need to create an account with you tube, but it's easy and will be worth it!
