As you may know, I was once again the 23rd caller to the XTU studio line and won admission to a private, very intimate concert with Martina McBride!  It was such an awesome experience!!!  Her singing was so beautiful - it brought tears to my eyes - especially when she sang "Broken Wing" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."  She hits such high notes.  She started with "Wild Angels" and sang a number of hits, as well as songs from her latest album, Waking Up Laughing.  I just love her.  Martina was signing autographs, but I didn't quite make it up to the stage.  The station gave every table some country music trivia and whoever got them all right got a backstage meet and greet with Martina.  Unfortunately, my table didn't win, but it was still a night to remember.  One woman brought her son who is autistic.  She told us how he loves country music and she got invited because the station called her co-worker and she happened to pick up the phone.  That story made me feel good and her son seemed to enjoy it as he was swaying to the songs.  Tom and I are talking about getting tickets to her February 29th show - we can't wait to see Martina again!  (Sorry, my photos didn't turn out good - my camera is crap!!!)
